I AM ANTI-VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
As part of 16-days campaign on anti violence against women, Yogyakarta based NGO, Rifka Annisa organized several activities among these activities are: Cultural Night and launching of Campaign on “I am Anti Violence against women” . In this cultural night, a dance groups called Topeng Ireng, which is consisting of young boys and girls survivors of Merapi mountain eruption performed their creativity. During their performance, they voiced respect to women and calls for ending violence against women. In addition to the Topeng Ireng performances, Some public figure delivered their speech on call to end violence against women and call for men to actively engage in anti violence against women movement. One of the public figure that gave his speech is Arif Noor Hartanto a Yogyakarta provincial legislator. The event ended with the launch of the campaign “I am Anti-Violence against women” that is marked with a mounting pin that reads "I'm Anti-Violence Against Women" To the Members of Legislative and vice commander of Yogyakarta police department. "I am Anti-Violence against women” campaign based on ideas that behavior change of anti-violence against women must begin to ourselves and then will influence wider behavior change within family and community.
