Zimbabwe National AIDS Council is to recommend after this weeks conference that the PMTCT framework in Zimbabwe officially changes to Prevention of Parent to Child Transmission (PPCTC). We've been lobbying for this - the impact could be massive for better male engagement campaigns and actions in support of our women and children! Zimbabwe would be the first African country to officially adopt this as policy and practice.

Our first priority of course must be that this change does not impact spending on services for women and children! If we are to add male engagement strategies then it must be just that - additive and not subtractive!!!!
